Minifigure Speedway will be a new roller coaster, opening in LEGOLAND Windsor (the United Kingdom, Europe) in 2024.
LEGOLAND Windsor Resort has submitted plans for a new dueling family shuttle coaster, Minifigure Speedway, set to be located west of Duplo Valley and east of the Mansion House on the site of the former Raft Racers attraction. The proposed coaster will feature two separate tracks mirroring each other, with additional elements including a loading platform, operators cabin, queue line, and perimeter fencing. The coaster is expected to reach a maximum height of approximately 10.8m above ground level, with an overall elevation change of around 18m due to its hillside location. The coaster’s design resembles Zierer track, and similarities have been noted with Tweestry at Wildlands Adventure Zoo. The resort aims for a 2024 opening, following the success of previous permitted development projects like Duplo Dino Coaster.
Construction updates reveal progress on the coaster, with red and blue Zierer track delivered to the site. The ride station structure has gone vertical, featuring an elevated operator’s booth for clear views of both tracks during loading. The coaster’s footers and foundations are underway, and the site is being prepared with canopies planned for the station area, queue line, batching area, holding area, and the full station platform. The resort’s efforts suggest an immersive ride experience, with audio and lighting elements potentially enhancing the coaster’s circuits.
